The Coventry University & Coventry 4 Good Community Grant contributed to the costs of running two cohorts of Radio Plus’s Routes to Employment media and job readiness training scheme and piloting a scheme with Coventry University to bring together young people and Broadcasting undergraduates.

The Coventry University and Coventry 4 Good Grant aims to support voluntary and community organisations to develop projects and activities that encourage and improve social relations, involve volunteers and take place in areas near to Coventry University where there is a high student population.  The Fund offers the opportunity for organisations to test out new and innovative ideas whilst being supported by Coventry University staff and/or students.

Round 2 of the Coventry University and Coventry 4 Good Community Grant focused on supporting organisations delivering:

Foleshill Womens Training successfully received funding from the Coventry University and Coventry 4 Good grant scheme (Round 1) to support their Wellbeing Workshops.   Christine McNaught & Sheridan Henderson reported below:   "The project began at the end of September 2015. Warwickshire Wildlife Trust successfully secured funding from the Coventry University and Coventry 4 Good grant scheme (Round 1) to support their Vision Volunteering project.

Matthew Cox, Youth Engagement Officer for Warwickshire Wildlife Trust said:

"The Vision Volunteering project in Hillfields has been running every Wednesday since the beginning of January 2016. The turnout from students at the University has been very consistent which has meant that we have already achieved a lot. So far 101 volunteer hours have been contributed to the area.
