Coventry 4 Good Champion

Were you born to be a champion? Are you enthusiastic, organised and resourceful?

Coventry 4 Good Champion’s will organise at least one fundraising event in Coventry. Events can range from community fetes, black-tie events or other events of your choice.

Purpose of the role

Inform and promote involvement in Coventry 4 Good in your local community and fundraise for Coventry 4 Good.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  1. Plan and organise a local fundraising event
  2. Promote Coventry 4 Good by spreading the word in your community
  3. Recruit family, friends and neighbours to become volunteers at your event
  4. Coordinate volunteers
  5. Sell event tickets
  6. Handle donations

Personal attributes

  1. Confident communicator – happy to talk to different people
  2. Passionate about making a difference to local people
  3. Organised and good at planning
  4. Previous experience of fundraising is handy but not essential as training and support will be provided
  5. Able to work independently and in public settings

This is an ongoing role with expectation that the volunteer will offer regular commitment, but this may be flexible to suit both Coventry 4 Good and the volunteer.  We envisage that this role will require 1 day per month, however this time might be broken down over a few days.

Coventry 4 Good Supporter

Are you outgoing and friendly and an excellent communicator?

Join our team of Coventry 4 Good Supporters and volunteer at a range of exciting events to suit your interests and availability. Become a valued part of the team volunteering at least 2 hours a month and as regular as you like.

Coventry 4 Good volunteers will have fun while raising funds for local good causes. They will be brightening up local events with show stopping pink t-shirts.

Purpose of the role

Promote and fundraise for Coventry 4 Good in your local community.

Possible tasks and responsibilities

  1. Promote Coventry 4 Good at events e.g. distribute marketing materials such as leaflets
  2. Collect donations in sealed charity buckets
  3. Help set up and clear down events
  4. Promote events among your friends, family and colleagues
  5. Meet and greet participants and spectators
  6. Support participants as they take part, such as cheering or handing out refreshments
  7. Help with administration and managing the start/finish areas

Personal attributes

  1. Enthusiastic about Coventry 4 Good and helping at events
  2. Passionate about making a difference to local people
  3. Flexible and willing to volunteer in shops, gyms, clubs and at outdoor events
  4. Willing to work as part of a team
  5. Happy to talk to different people
  6. Able to work in public settings
  7. Confident
