We are delighted to announce the three organisations that successfully secured funding from the Coventry University and Coventry 4 Good grant scheme have all started their activity ahead of the project start deadline January 2016.

Here’s a brief overview of the organisations and what the funding will help them to achieve:

Three Spires Tots charity practically supports vulnerable and disadvantaged parents and children in Coventry, helping them to build relationships and networks though the provision of a parenting support project called Coffee Tots. They aim to:

Sunrise Community Solutions CIC

Sunrise Community Solutions CIC were delighted to receive a grant of £186 from Coventry 4 Good.  The grant has and is continuing to enable them to provide Event Furniture free of charge to community groups across the city.   With the suspension of Coventry City Council's Event Equipment earlier in the year and consultation ongoing on the future of the service they were keen to be able to support grassroots community events organisers to continue to be able to keep the costs of running their events low. more

Coventry-based commercial property company The Wigley Group have made a big difference to users of the Koco Community Resource Centre in Spon End. During two days in October, members of Wigley's Facilities Team volunteered in Koco's garden, breathing new life into a forgotten corner, giving it a much-needed facelift by cutting down overgrown shrubs and clearing rubbish and weeds.

The Sainsbury's store in Trinity Street, Coventry City Centre is making some of its meeting rooms above the store available to community groups free of charge. 

It is advisable to visit the rooms before booking as there are quite a few different sizes available. There are some photos below to give you an idea of the space.
